Kim Hingen, Secretary

A woman standing in front of flags at an official event.

Kim was born and raised in the Fort Worth area where she graduated from Springtown High School. She helped run her family’s dairy goat farm and was extremely active in FFA showing goats at organized events like the Ft. Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Planning on a career serving the US as a Nurse life took a change for the better when she became an expectant mother. At that time she naturally changed course and decided her primary focus was on her family. She launched a successful home daycare and fulfilled her most important role as a stay at home mom for 9 years.

Once her 3 children were all in full time school, she decided to go back to school to become a Registered Dental Hygienist and graduated college with an Associates degree in 2002. Dental Hygiene is not only a career for her, but she has a passion to provide her patients with the best care possible at Haslet Family Dentistry for many years.

Kim was married to Jeff in October 2016 and they have 5 kids between them. She is also Mimi to the cutest granddaughter that has stolen their hearts and keeps them extremely busy. Kim has a unique talent for creating craftwork and a love for keeping her gardens in beautiful condition. Kim and Jeff enjoy traveling to new and old places, mostly by cruise ship. She also enjoys riding on their Harley accompanied by great friends to visit new places and see unusual things the Great State of Texas and surrounding states have to offer.

She found Roll Call in 2018 at a veterans event and was immediately impressed by the people and values of the organization. Coming to the luncheons while taking in the atmosphere and amazing stories of the veterans surrounding her she knew it was something special. At that time she was part of another veterans non-profit organization and helped raise funds to donate to Roll Call and many other well deserved Ft. Worth veterans groups. Also during that time she was an integral part, along with her fellow members and friends, to support the Ft. Worth Veterans Stand Down for Homeless Vets. As part of a committee, she helped provide sleeping bags, jackets and toiletries to countless veterans during this annual event. Following her desire to help many more veterans she decided there was absolutely no better place she could think of than where she already was, Roll Call of North Texas.
