Our Team

Roll Call has a great team of committed volunteers, both civilian and military. Our volunteers have a tremendous passion for veterans, the military and are proud to be Americans. We have volunteers from the nearby Naval Air Station/Joint Reserve Base (formerly Carswell Airforce Base). Here is our team:

90th Aviation Support Battalion (ASB)

Almost Heaven Catering is owned and operated by Brenda Miller Leonhart. Almost Heaven has been serving the metroplex with unique twist on traditional Texas favorites for 20 years. Diane Garst Walsh


Diane grew up in Alamogordo, New Mexico home to Holloman Air Force Base. She is currently a speech-language pathologist and a clinical faculty member at The University of Texas at Dallas. As a college student, she interned in Survivor Affairs at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum during the summer of 2001 and has not drifted far away from working with Holocaust survivors or veterans since.

Rick Irving


Rick is a native of Fort Worth. His father was a United States Marine who served in the South Pacific during WWII. Rick and his wife Susan met as teenagers at Birchman Baptist Church, where Roll Call luncheons are currently held. Kay Harmon has been a volunteer with Roll Call for several years. She helps at our monthly veterans appreciation luncheon and definitely puts a smile on the faces of our veterans.

Chuck Hodge

Roll Call Historian

Roll Call is proud to have Chuck Hodge as our Historian. He is a very humble guy who loves veterans and never wants to be recognized. When he was asked for his bio he talked about his family members more than he did himself, so his bio had to be edited by a Board member to highlight “Chuck!”

Derek Kushera


Derek Kushera has been a dedicated volunteer for Roll Call since May, 2017. He was born in Santa Monica, Ca. in 1949 and grew up as a surfer kid. He worked in his uncle’s glass shop as a young teenager and spent his life in the glass business.

Erin McFatridge


Erin has been a long-time Roll Call volunteer. We are so proud to have Erin as part of our team. She served 12.5 years in the U.S. Army. Like all of our other volunteers she has a very giving heart. She served as a case manager at Union Gospel Mission and now works with Catholic Charities.
