Joe was born and raised in Western New York and attended Southwestern Central High School. Afterwards, Joe studied at Syracuse University and served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1970. Upon receiving a Honorable Discharge with the rank of E6, Joe was employed with RCA Computer Systems as an Area Manager for the Central region, based in Chicago, IL.
In 1976, Joe decided to leave RCA in favor of a job offer from American Airlines as a Senior Communication Engineer responsible for all communication activities at Chicago's O'Hare airport and later at DFW Intl. Airport, American’s largest operation. Before retiring in 1999, Joe held the position as Communications Operations Manager at DFW.
From 2004 - 2011 Joe volunteered for “Welcome Home a Hero” at DFW Airport, welcoming home troops on R&R. During that time Joe served as the Official Photographer for the US Army. From 2011 - 2015 Joe served as a full-time volunteer for “Honor Flight DFW.” Services included "Veteran Guardian" and the Official Photographer.
Currently, Joe is the Official Photographer for both Daughters of World War II - Dallas, TX and Roll Call - Fort Worth, TX. In 2013 - 2014 Joe Traveled to both Iwo Jima and Normandy, France with WWII Veterans to capture the "Return to the Battle Grounds."
